(March 2026) FORT LEE, NJ – Welcome to Lights, Camera, Classics! From the location of what was “Hollywood” before Hollywood – Fort Lee, New Jersey, the place that gave birth to the motion picture industry. This site will focus on classic and independent films, film events and festivals, and some of the people who contribute to the industry.
I was inspired to do this because of my love of classic films and films in general, which was sparked by my father as a child and by the Turner Classic Movies channel as an adult. In addition, a big thank-you to the folks in the Facebook Group “Going to TCM Classic Film Festival!” So many of their members contribute to the love of classic films, festivals with websites, podcasts, YouTube channels, and the like.
